Canterbury cricket coach Peter Fulton's had no hesitation selecting Henry Nicholls for the latest round of Plunket Shield action against Central Districts in Napier

Canterbury cricket coach Peter Fulton's had no hesitation selecting Henry Nicholls for the latest round of Plunket Shield action against Central Districts in Napier

The Black Caps batter was cleared of ball tampering allegations by an independent commission, following an incident during the match against Auckland.

Footage showed Nicholls rubbing the ball on a batting helmet.

The commission deemed the move was unlikely to affect the ball.

Play is scheduled for a 10.30am start at McLean Park.
