Hundreds of gang members are making their way back home, after the tangi of a senior Head Hunters gang member

Hundreds of gang members are making their way back home, after the tangi of a senior Head Hunters gang member

No major incidents have been reported during the tangi, in Foxton, north of Wellington.

Parts of the highway have been under speed restrictions as different groups attended -- with one person being arrested for a traffic offence, and one person being seriously injured after falling off their bike on the Desert Road.

Foxton Community Board Member Brett Russell says Police have been managing crowds to avoid any incidents.

He says locals were aware it was going to be a celebration of his life, and result in quite a large crowd gathering.
