Strong public support for healthy food policies

New research by the Cancer Society Research Collaboration has found 84 percent of those surveyed want to see policies addressing the cost of healthy food.
Otago University Professor of Public Health Louise Signal says the Government effectively has a mandate to take action.
She says 73 percent think we should extend the school lunch programme, and 64 percent support a sugary drinks tax or levy, provided it's used to support health outcomes.
