    Coco Gauff is staying grounded as she enters the Australian Open this week with a target on her back


    The 19-year-old comes into Melbourne as the most recent Grand Slam champion after she won the US Open in September.

    The American also won her second consecutive Auckland title earlier this month to open her 2024 season.

    With a few more achievements under her belt since the last Australian Open, Gauff says her mindset has hardly changed.



    The fourth seed meets world-number 67 Anna Karolina Schmiedlova in the first round shortly.
