    A post-mortem examination's taking place today in relation to human remains found in a park in the Wellington Region


    Police were called to Titahi Bay's Whitireia Park walkway on the morning of Wednesday, January 31 - with Police confirming human remains were found.

    Officers are continuing to try to identify the person who died, and probe how they ended up in Whitireia Park.

    Police have said it may take some time before they can confirm who the deceased is.
