    The 2026 FIFA World Cup final will be played at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey - the home of the NFL's New York Jets and Giants


    The New York-New Jersey area was competing with AT&T Stadium in Texas, for the opportunity to stage the historic final.

    The US, Mexico and Canada are co-hosting the World Cup, which will expand from 32 participants to 48 for the first time and feature 104 total matches.

    Mexico's iconic Estadio Azteca will host the opening match on June 12th, New Zealand time.
