NZTA says traffic cameras won't be the only tool in its toolbox, for reducing high-speed crashes

It's taking over traffic camera duties from Police, with plans to increase the number of cameras from 150, to up 800.
It expects to process about three-million infringements a year by 2030.
NZTA's Tara McMillan says it's one of a number of tools they need to use.
She says they need to make sure they've also got the right infrastructure, the right speeds, and a specific level of enforcement.
