A man who punched an elderly woman multiple times during the controversial Posie Parker speaking event in Auckland last year has been discharged without conviction

The attack left the woman in her 70s with bruising around her eye.
The man, who has permanent name suppression, was ordered to pay his victim one-thousand-dollars in reparation.
His defence lawyer says he's undertaken counselling and rehab and has completed 180-hours community work with the Red Cross.
