A couple of New Zealand's top throwers are frustrated despite being in national title winning form at the track and field championships in Wellington

Discus thrower Connor Bell was well below his best, eight metres shy of his national record while Lauren Bruce wanted more after her 65.06 in the women's hammer throw.

Among other winners, Sam Tanner took the men's 1500m and Imogen Skelton won the women's high jump on countback.
