Signs business confidence is climbing, despite the rough road ahead in 2024

Signs business confidence is climbing, despite the rough road ahead in 2024

A new BusinessNZ report, shows there are some improvements in the economy, but businesses aren't out of the woods just yet.

It notes the pressures easing on businesses, include the new Government's approach to the sector, as well as improving global commodity prices.

BusinessNZ Advocacy Director Catherine Beard, says rising net migration is also helping alleviate some pressures.

She says staff and skill shortages are dissipating, on the back of net migration, as well as a slowing job market.
