The tangi of one of the men who died after a mass brawl at a 21st birthday party in Gisborne last weekend will be held today

The tangi of one of the men who died after a mass brawl at a 21st birthday party in Gisborne last weekend will be held today

Kane Wiremu Te Paa and Chrysler Stevens-Mark, whose birthday party it was, were both killed.

Up to 100 people were involved in the brawl, including gate-crashers.

Te Paa will be buried just north of Tolaga Bay today, after a post-mortem was completed in Palmerston North earlier this week.

Senior gang leaders from Black Power and the Mongrel Mob were involved in talks to ensure peace during the lengthy final journey of his body from the Manawatu to his final resting place.
