    The Easter Road Toll is already the highest in three years


    Six people have died on the roads this long weekend -- the latest in a three-vehicle collision on State Highway Six at Okaramio in Marlborough.

    A motorcyclist died after a crash with a tractor in Richmond Downs in the Waikato on Saturday morning.

    Later that day, three people died and 15 others were injured in two separate crashes near Twizel on State Highway Eight in Canterbury.

    Early yesterday morning, a person died in a crash on State Highway Five, south of Rotorua.

    The official road toll period ends 6am tomorrow.
