    A call for more legal provisions to keep children safe


    Advocacy charity Safeguarding Children, says there is no legal requirement making volunteers working with children go through police vetting.

    The group says many are also not legally required to undergo training to recognise signs of abuse.

    Safeguarding Children consultant Ruth Browning believes many parents won't be aware of this.

    She says some organisations choose to do safety checks, but many don't
