A shock retirement is incoming in league's NRL

Multiple Australian outlets are reports Roosters five-eighth Luke Keary is set to hang up his boots at the end of the season - opting out of the final year of his contract.

It's understood his decision is not linked to the several concussions he has suffered throughout his career.

Meanwhile - young Storm halfback Jonah Pezet will be sidelined for the rest of the season after rupturing his ACL.

The 21-year-old - who has been the back-up behind Kiwis star Jahrome Hughes and fellow playmaker Cameron Munster - suffered the injury while playing for Melbourne's feeder side in the Queensland Cup on the weekend.
