Big lock Eben Etzebeth has stoked the fire ahead of the Springboks' mid-year test series against Ireland by questioning their arrogance at last year's World Cup

Etzebeth has revealed, during post-game handshakes after Ireland beat the Boks in their pool game, that around a dozen Irish players suggested they'd "see them in the final".

Ireland, of course, were knocked out by the All Blacks - continuing their record of never progressing into a World Cup semi-final.

Etzebeth has told the Rugby Pod he banked the moment.
