Belief struggles will continue in the construction sector, despite a slight rise in costs

Corelogic's latest construction index shows a 1.1 percent jump in cost during the September quarter.

It's the first time quarterly growth has exceeded one percent since December 2022.

Combined Building Supplies Co-op chair, Carl Taylor says it's becoming easier to lend money from the banks, and the OCR cut is helpful.

He says the smaller companies are still hurting, hoping the phones will ring.
