    Police are asking people to check their properties for a man, and his black lab, both missing in Otaki, north of Wellington


    David McHaffie was last seen at seven on Saturday morning, wearing a green jacket and blue sweat pants, walking his dog named Ropey.

    Police are urging people in Otaki Township and near Otaki Gorge Road to check their properties.

    Anyone with information's urged to contact Police.
