Tommy Lee has blasted fellow musicians for promoting their work while wildfires continue to rage in Los Angeles

The 62-year-old drummer has insisted artists need to "leave it all alone" when it comes to publicising their tours and records and instead urged them to "stop and see who needs help" after thousands of people were forced to evacuate and many saw their houses burn down as a result of the devastating blazes.

He fumed on Instagram: "Makes me f****** sick to see most people just [carrying] on posting on lame ass social media!

"Guys right now nobody gives a flying f*** when your record drops or the next concert is when so many people are in the middle of one of the biggest disasters of all time!

"I get that some comic relief is always need but Jesus Christ leave it all alone and maybe just stop and see who needs help if you can.(sic)"

Tommy's band Motley Crue had previously offered support to those affected by the fires.

They posted on Facebook last week: "To everyone affected by the devastating and unprecedented fires in our hometown of Los Angeles, our thoughts are with you during this very difficult time.

"May you and your loved ones stay safe as we stand together to overcome."

Tommy isn't the only star to criticise fellow famous faces over their behaviour at this time.

Kelly Osbourne has slammed celebrities for using the disaster as a "photo op" and called for them to "go home".

Speaking in an Instagram video, the 40-year-old star ranted: "Is it me being my normal overthinking, cynical self or is it really disturbing seeing all of these celebrities using other people's pain and suffering as a photo op to say, 'Look, I'm helping, I'm doing this, I'm doing that.'

"I don't believe you help so that you get attention for helping, I believe you help because you want to

"I'm so confused, I think it's so wrong.

"No-one asked you to come out and give hugs.

    "Go home."
