    Some parts of the economy may be out of recession, but others are not


    New Zealand had positive GDP growth in the December quarter, due to strong tourist spending and agricultural exports.

    But unemployment is continuing to rise, consumer confidence is still falling, and several sectors like construction are continuing to contract.

    JMI Wealth Director Andrew Kelleher says it's a gradual turnaround, that isn't yet broadly evident across the economy.
