Questions are being asked how an Australian team is playing in the new OFC Pro League, when New Zealand teams can't compete in the Australia Cup

Questions are being asked how an Australian team is playing in the new OFC Pro League, when New Zealand teams can't compete in the Australia Cup

The Wellington Phoenix and Auckland FC have been kicked out of the pre-season knockout competition by Football Australia, who operate in the Asian confederation.

The Kiwi clubs are part of the Oceania bloc.

Phoenix boss David Dome remains confused how his club missed out on having a team in the Pro League, but Australian side South Melbourne was admitted.
