Where and how to watch the 2025 Primetime Emmy award-wining shows in Australia

From The Studio to The Pitt, here's how to stream the biggest winners of the 2025 Primetime Emmy Awards.

    16 September 2025

Adolescence and The Pitt are among the big winners of the US's largest TV award show, the prime time Emmys, which aired yesterday.

Most shows are only available on streaming services and those differ depending on where in the world you are located.

Want to see what all the award-show hype is about?

Here is how you can stream each of the Emmy winning shows in Australia and what they're all about.

    The Pitt

Procedural medical show The Pitt won big at the Prime-time Emmys, securing nods for Best Actor and Actress in a Drama Series and Best Drama Series.

The show is an "examination of the challenges facing health workers in America and is told through the lens of doctors and nurses working in a hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania", according to Apple TV.

What perhaps sets the show apart from other Grey's Anatomy-esque medical shows is that all fifteen episodes of the first season are set during a single workday with each episode documenting one hour in the emergency room of the hospital.

Many US emergency doctors say it is the most realistic medical drama ever made.

Season 2 is due to come out in January, so now is the time to catch up on streaming service HBO Max.

    The Studio

Seth Rogen's show The Studio satirises modern Hollywood and follows cinephile Matt Remick after he lands his dream job as a studio boss.

The dream soon turns to a nightmare as he grapples with the decline of the company and balancing efforts to ensure commercial viability while maintaining artistic integrity.

The show picked up an Emmy for Best Comedy Series and Seth Rogen also won Best Lead Actor in a Comedy Series and Best Directing for a Comedy Series.

The show was another jewel in the Emmys, crown for Apple TV+ which is streaming it in Australia now.

    Severance

Speaking of Apple TV+, one of its most successful shows, Severance, also picked up multiple Emmys.

Britt Lower took Best Lead Actress in a Drama Series and Tramell Tillman was awarded Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his work on the show, which follows office workers who undergo a procedure that separates their memories between their work and home lives.

Two seasons are available to watch on Apple TV + now.

    Adolescence

Adolescence, which follows the fallout of a teenage boy accused of murdering a female classmate,  took home six awards at the Emmys.

The British show won three acting awards, one for writing, another for directing and then the overall Best Anthology Series award.

You will need a Netflix subscription to watch all four episodes of this limited series.

    Slow Horses

The British spy thriller Slow Horses is about a group of agents who have been relegated to a backwater of MI5.

Gary Oldman, who leads the cast, took home Best Lead Actor in a Drama Series for his role.

Adam Randall also took home the Emmy for Best Directing for a Drama Series.

You can watch Slow Horses on Apple TV+.

    The Penguin

Actress Cristin Milioti was awarded Best Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series for her work in The Penguin.

The show follows the events of the movie The Batman, where gangster Oz Cobb (The Penguin) seeks to move up in the underworld.

    All episodes are on Binge

    Andor

The dystopian spin-off of the Star Wars universe took home Best Writing for a Drama Series at the 2025 Emmys.

The story follows rebel spy Cassian Andor during the events leading up to the film Rogue One.

There are currently two seasons available on Disney Plus.

    Hacks

The two main characters of the show, Hacks, took home a trophy for their roles in the hit show.

Jean Smart was awarded Best Lead Actress in a Comedy Series and Hannah Einbinder won Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.

Hacks has been running for four seasons and began as a story about the sparring between a stand-up veteran and zillennial comedy writer she hired in a bid to stay relevant.

You can catch up on the series on Stan.

    The Traitors

The US version of The Traitors won Outstanding Reality Competition Program at the 2025 Emmys.

The competition program is set in an ancient castle in Scotland, where the players complete high-stakes missions to add money to a prize pot while the Traitors work in secret to avoid revealing their true identity to the Faithfuls.

Faithfuls can split the winnings if they successfully eliminate all the Traitors by the end, but if even one Traitor remains, the Traitor gets to keep the jackpot for themself.

Many countries have their own spins on the show, but the US version, which won the Emmy, is available for streaming for free on Tenplay.

    Somebody, Somewhere

Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series went to Jeff Hiller for his role in the series Somebody, Somewhere.

The show is loosely based on the life of star and comedian Bridget Everett, who plays a woman back in her tiny town in Kansas after caring for her terminally ill sister.

You can catch up on the latest and previous seasons on HBO Max.
