Auckland Transport's targeting a number of big goals for 2025

Auckland Transport's targeting a number of big goals for 2025

    1 January 2025
AT's had a year of achievements and challenges - successfully rolling out things like debit-card payments on public transport, but having its powers reined in by Auckland Council.

Looking ahead, chief executive Dean Kimpton says they're focusing on supporting people to access public transport affordably and safely.

He says they also plan to use new technology to have roads functioning more efficiently, and support projects like the CRL and eastern busway.

Kimpton says they'll complete electrification of the rail network from Papakura to Pukekohe, which will provide more seamless travel.
