Jailed businessman Aaron Coupe's been sentenced to another three years and nine months behind bars - for deception

Jailed businessman Aaron Coupe's been sentenced to another three years and nine months behind bars - for deception

    9 June 2025
He was given more than four years in prison this year, for causing losses in the millions for partners, creditors, and banks - here and in the US.

During his second bankruptcy in 2022, he actively managed construction projects in Tuakau, Wiri and Auckland, under the alias 'Aaron McGregor' - in breach of restrictions placed on him.

Judge Kathryn Maxwell says Coupe's arrogance is incomprehensible, and he's barely taken a breath since first offending in 2013.
