Secondary school teachers are expected to reject a revised pay offer from the Government

Secondary school teachers are expected to reject a revised pay offer from the Government

    11 September 2025
PPTA members have until today to vote on the offer - which would see teachers at the top of the pay scale get a 2.5 percent rise, followed by two percent a year later.

President Chris Abercrombie says the national executive believes the offer doesn't meet the needs of the profession - and has recommended members reject it.

It's after primary school teachers rejected their most recent offer on Monday, and are now considering strike action.
