Kiwis are being encouraged to invest in things other than their own home

According to the latest ASB investor confidence survey, the property market lifted investor confidence by three percent in the December 2019 quarter.
ASB economist Chris Tennent-Brown says he'd like to see people investing in KiwiSaver, the share market or investment property.
He says it's worth looking at other methods of saving, rather than building wealth through their own home.
However, just 13-percent of property investors believe rentals provide the best return.
That's the lowest proportion in more than 15 years.
