Consents for new homes have reached another record high

Consents for new homes have reached another record high

    30 July 2021
New figures from Stats NZ show almost 45-thousand new homes were consented in the year to June.

That's the fourth month of consecutive rises.

Stats NZ says 45-percent of the new homes are multi-unit homes, like townhouses, units, and apartments.

In comparison, three years ago, only 36-percent of new homes were multi-unit homes.
