    Mainly fine but cloudy periods and isolated showers developing tomorrow afternoon.

    Remaining North Island mountain areas
    Cloudy periods with isolated showers.

    WINDS
    Westerlies, strong in exposed places south of the Kaweka ranges.

    FREEZING LEVEL
    3000 metres.

    Kahurangi and Nelson Lakes National Parks, and the Southern Alps
    Mostly cloudy. A few showers, more frequent about the Southern Alps.

    Kaikoura ranges
    Fine.

    Fiordland National Park
    Rain or showers.

    WINDS
    Westerlies, gale in exposed places at times.

    FREEZING LEVEL
    3000 metres sloping to 2000 metres in the south.
