    Fine weather.

    Winds
    Southwesterlies. However, strong northwesterlies for the Tararua range, gale in
    exposed places, dying out around the middle of the day tomorrow.

    FREEZING LEVEL
    4000 metres.


    south island



    Kahurangi National Park
    Fine today. Mostly cloudy tomorrow with patchy drizzle morning and night.

    Nelson Lakes National Park, and the Kaikoura ranges
    Fine.

    The Southern Alps
    Periods of rain in the west. Mainly fine in the east.

    Mount Aspiring and Fiordland
    Periods of rain, heavy and possibly thundery at times.

    Winds
    Strong westerlies, gale in exposed places from Arthur's Pass southwards. However,
    severe northwest gales for Fiordland, easing tonight.

    FREEZING LEVEL
    Above 3000 metres.
