Snow above 1200 metres. Kaikoura ranges and the Southern Alps Showers, turning to rain for a time tonight and tomorrow morning with snow to 1000 metres. Mount Aspiring and Fiordland Partly cloudy with a few showers, mainly in the east. Snow possible to about 1000 metres. WINDS Southerlies, strong in exposed places.
