    Snow showers, easing this evening. Becoming fine tomorrow morning.

    WINDS
    Southwest gales, easing tonight.

    FREEZING LEVEL
    800 metres, rising to 1200 metres this evening.


    south island



    Kaikoura ranges
    Snow showers, clearing this afternoon and becoming fine.

    Fiordland
    Cloudy periods. Showers in the south.

    Remaining South Island mountain areas
    Mainly fine. Cloudy periods developing tomorrow afternoon.

    WINDS
    Southwesterlies, gale in exposed places, easing this afternoon.

    FREEZING LEVEL
    900 metres, rising to 1400 metres this afternoon.
