Waikato to Manawatu, including central high country

Gisborne to Wairarapa
Mainly fine with patchy high cloud.
Wellington, Marlborough, Nelson
Fine at first, apart from rain about the Tararua Range. Widespread rain developing from late afternoon, possibly heavy.
Buller, Westland, Fiordland
A few showers. Rain gradually spreading north, heavy at times with thunderstorms possible.
Canterbury and Otago
