Gisborne to Wairarapa, also Horowhenua to Wellington
Mainly fine. A few showers developing about Wellington and Wairarapa late afternoon, some possibly heavy there, then spreading northwards this evening while clearing from the south.
Nelson

Buller to Westland
Showers, clearing this afternoon.
Marlborough and Canterbury
Showers spreading north today with a southerly change. Showers possibly heavy about the coast this afternoon, then clearing to fine.
Otago, Southland and Fiordland
Showers, some heavy with possible thunderstorms about coastal Southland and Clutha this morning. Showers clearing this afternoon, but remaining partly cloudy.
