Generally fine. Isolated showers about the ranges this afternoon and evening, some heavy with hail, and possible thunderstorms.
Remaining North Island areas
Fine, apart from areas of cloud morning and evening. Isolated showers inland north of Manawatu this afternoon.
Nelson
Fine.
Buller, Grey, Westland,
Partly cloudy. Patchy drizzle, clearing from Grey and Buller this afternoon, and a few showers clearing from Westland in the evening.
Marlborough, Canterbury, Otago
Cloudy periods. Showers this afternoon and evening, some possibly heavy and thundery about inland South Canterbury and North Otago.
Southland
Cloudy periods. Scattered rain, easing to isolated showers this morning.
Fiordland
Rain, easing to isolated showers this morning, then becoming mainly fine with the chance of a shower south of Doubtful Sound.
Chatham Islands
Low cloud, but some afternoon fine spells.
