    Marine Weather Situation and Forecast issued at 2303hrs Sunday 09-Nov-2025 by MetService
    Situation: A frontal system associated with a low in the Tasman Sea moves across New Zealand today. Tomorrow, the associated front moves northwards over the North Island, while a ridge of high pressure builds over the country behind the front. On Wednesday, a low pressure system moves southwards onto the North Island, while a weakening front over the Tasman Sea reaches Fiordland late in the day. During Thursday, the low moves southeast over northern and central New Zealand. On Friday, the low pressure system moves away to the east, while a front moves rapidly northeast over the country.

    Forecast for Manukau Harbour issued at 2300hrs Sunday 09-Nov-2025
    Nil warnings
    Monday: Variable 5 knots. Northerly 10 knots developing early morning, turning northwest 10 knots late morning. Rising to northwest 15 knots in the evening. Sea slight but choppy when wind opposes tide. Poor visibility in showers, possibly heavy from afternoon, turning to rain late evening. For the west coast: Southwest swell 2 metres easing to 1.5 metres.
    Tuesday: Northwest 15 knots, turning southwest 15 knots in the morning. Easing to variable 5 knots in the afternoon. A few showers. For the west coast: Westerly swell rising to 3 metres.
    Wednesday: Variable 5 knots, becoming easterly 15 knots early. Turning northerly 10 knots late. Rain developing. For the west coast: Southwest swell 2 metres easing.
    Thursday: Northerly 10 knots, becoming westerly 20 knots early. Easing to southwest 10 knots later. Rain, easing. For the west coast: Southwest swell 1 metre.
