    *STORM WARNING IN FORCE*

    Wednesday : Easterly 40 knots, rising to 50 knots this evening.
    Sea becoming high.
    Northeast swell rising to 6 metres.
    Poor visibility in rain, possibly heavy.
    Thursday : Easterly 55 knots, becoming northeast 30 knots but 40 knots south of Whangaroa in the morning.
    Becoming northeast 20 knots everywhere in the evening.
    High sea easing.
    Northeast swell 6 metres easing.
    Northerly swell 3 metres developing for a time.
    Heavy rain with very poor visibility at times.
    Possible thunderstorms from afternoon.

    Outlook following 3 days:
    Friday: Northerly 25 knots.
    Sea rough.
    Heavy northeast swell easing.
    Saturday: Northerly 20 knots.
    Moderate northerly swell.
    Sunday: Northerly 20 knots.
    Moderate northeast swell.
