Recreational Marine: Mana Marine Weather Situation and Forecast issued at 0420hrs Tuesday 04-Nov-2025 by MetService Situation: Today, a front moves northeast to lie east of the South Island, while a ridge of high pressure covers much of the country. Tomorrow, another front moves east across the far south of the South Island, while the ridge of high pressure remains over the rest of New Zealand. On Thursday, the front weakens and moves north over the South Island, while a low approaches the North Island from the north. On Friday, a weak low directs a northeast flow over the North Island, while an area of high pressure covers the South Island. On Saturday, the high pressure builds over the country, while a front associated with strong northwesterly winds lingers south of New Zealand. Forecast for Inshore waters from Pukerua Bay to Makara Beach * Strong wind advisory in force * Tuesday: Northerly 20 knots gusting 30 knots, rising to 25 knots gusting 35 knots for a time this morning. Sea becoming rough for a time this morning. Mainly fine. Southwest swell half a metre. Wednesday: Northerly 20 knots. Cloud clearing and becoming fine.
