Becoming southerly 35 knots but 25 knots south of East Cape in the afternoon. Sea becoming very rough north of East Cape. Southwest swell rising to 3 metres. Northeast swell 1 metre, easing. Poor visibility in showers developing in the morning. Outlook following 3 days: Thursday: Southerly 30 knots, easing to southeast 15 knots in the morning. Rough sea easing. Moderate southerly swell.
