Sea becoming very rough. West of Farewell Spit to Hawera: Long period westerly swell rising to 3 metres. Elsewhere: Westerly swell rising to 2 metres. Poor visibility in evening showers. Monday: Northwest 35 knots but turning southwest 35 knots west of Farewell Spit to Hawera early morning. Becoming southwest 25 knots everywhere late morning. Very rough sea easing. Moderate westerly swell. Tuesday: Becoming northwest 20 knots but southwest 20 knots west of Farewell Spit to Hawera early. Rough sea easing. Moderate westerly swell easing.
