On Tuesday, a low from the subtropics moves southeastwards, remaining offshore to the east of the North Island, while another front moves onto the South Island. The front tracks northwards onto the North Island on Wednesday, forming a low along the front to the east of the country, followed by a showery southwesterly flow.
