 Recreational Marine: Bay of Islands Marine Weather Situation and Forecast issued at 0130hrs Tuesday 03-Jun-2025 by MetService NIL for BRETT Situation: Today a ridge of high pressure over northern and central New Zealand moves away to the east as a low deepens in the Tasman Sea, and a front moves onto Fiordland. Tomorrow, the front pushes north reaching central New Zealand. Meanwhile, the low ends the day over the Cook Straight On Thursday, the deep low pulls away to the east followed by a west to southwest flow. On Friday, a very cold southerly flow is expected to affect southern and central New Zealand, while showery westerlies affect northern New Zealand. This flow persists through Saturday with the cooler temperatures spreading northward. Forecast issued at 2253hrs Monday 02-Jun-2025 Valid to 1 am Tuesday for Bay of Islands Recreational Marine Area.
