The NZ Sharemarket rose slightly yesterday with the NZX50 up 0.07% percent (9.16 points) from previous close to end the day at 12,957. The most actively traded stock on the bourse, with over 3.7 million shares changing hands was New Talisman Gold Mines Ltd , closing the day up 42% from it's opening to 3.3c. The next biggest trader was SkyCity Entertainment Group Ltd (NS) ($1.40) with over 1.6 million shares being traded. Rises outweighed falls by 131 to 102, with the star of the day being New Talisman Gold Mines Ltd (, while the biggest loser was RTO Ltd (up 0%). |
